Xbox 360 Installing Games

One feature that the PS3 has had over the Xbox 360 is the ability to install games to the hard drive. With the PS3, pretty much all the titles perform some form of install, even though most are only partial installs. The benefit of this is that a game can perform better, and have less load times if it’s installed on the hard drive. When the “Xbox 360 Experience” launches in the fall, 360 owners will be able to enjoy the same privilege. With the 360’s install, you’ll be able to install the full game. Of course you’ll still have to have the disc to run it (running bets on how long it takes a hacker to bypass this). Here’s a YouTube video showing off the install:

  • Portable DVD Player…Or A Walkman?

In the technology world, small = bigger, and less (somtimes) = more. You want your DVDs to play on the smallest possible platform necessary. For discs of its size, it doesn’t get any smaller than the Walkman. The device is crafted to only fit a disc inside of it and nothing else. This video shows off a DVD/MP4/DivX player that looks exactly like a Walkman. It seems to have all the pieces of a regular portable DVD player, only it’s the smallest one on the market. I’m a bit skeptical of the device, as it doesn’t have a brand name for a manufacturer. Here’s the video though, so you can make the judgement for yourself.

    A Ferrari Go Kart Bike?

It’s a Ferrari, no it’s a bike, no it’s a go kart. Actually all three of those answers are wrong because it’s a Ferrari Pedal Go-Kart. I’m not entirely sure why I want one. I think it’s because the tool bag that drove up behind the reporter to scare her made it look so fun.

In recent years people have become more aware of advertising around them. We all have TiVo now so we are able to skip past the commercials we all hate, and get to our shows like Hurl. Of course if we had more advertising like this billboard in New Zealand I might start paying attention. Just to briefly set this up, this is an advertisement from a company called Deadline Courier. They created this billboard with a timer on it, to display the timeliness that the company has. After the countdown is finished, the billboard will detonate and explode, distracting a great number of drivers and causing a good number of accidents. Of course I don’t know how effect the billboard could be; I mean are they saying that if the package doesn’t arrive on time or is opened it will explode everywhere?
