Depending on where you’re at in the world you’d call it Robot Soccer or Robot Football. I’d just call it freakin’ awesome. Robocup went other way last week in Japan. Unlike other forms of soccer, this matched involved three robots taking on another group of three. The match was intense, and here’s a highlight from one of the goals (freaking goalie was like a statue in there).

If you’ve ever browsed through YouTube, then you’ve no doubt come across the Evolution of Dance video. Basically a man does a fast iteration of different dances throughout the years. His timing and fluidity is nothing short of amazing, but I think this robot gives him a run for his money. Even though Judson Laipply might be able to move his joints a little better than this robot, I think he gives him a run for his money.

Robots have been in creation for quite some time now. I’d imagine you wouldn’t have to go very far to find some kind of robotics around you. While man has been around, a canine companion has given love and support throughout the years. Robot men on the other hand have been lonely, waiting for a companion to come around to show unconditional love.
