My favorite kind of nerds/fanboys have to be of the video game kind. Within that section of nerds, easily my favorite fanboys are those dedicated to the Legend of Zelda. The series has been around for about 20 years now, and the fanbase continues to swell. People who like to dress up as their favorite hero Link now have an accessory to compliment that green skirt tunic.

The guys over at ThinkGeek have an ocarina crafted after the music device in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. The N64 Zelda game is arguably the most successful of the series, and most adored by fans. You better pick this one up, before the hordes of Link followers get their hands on it.

  • I don’t think there’s a grandparent out there that doesn’t have a flashlight for their multiple trips to the bathroom during the night. Or for people that just happen to have bladder problems. Instead of having to carry around a clunky flashlight, X-treme Geek now has a pair of slippers to light up your or their path.

The Brightfeet Lighted slippers have a LED light attached to the front of the slipper which illuminates your walkway. Now if you have to have a midnight snack, there’s no worries of running into a wall or tripping over toys in the floor. They are a perfect present for the elderly people in your life. Or if you’re like me, your buying them with the intent of showing them off to friends and family. The slippers are a little on the expensive side compared to others in the market at $39.95. But if you really want them X-treme Geek has them here.

  • I enjoy travelling through the forest behind my house and casting Curse of Agony and Corruption on some unsuspecting squirrels. After a few slayings I can start to feel my mana points depleting. Unlike in the game WoW (they stole my two favorite spells) mana pots can be hard to come by IRL. Luckily ThinkGeek has come to my rescue as they have Mana energy potions on sale. With the help from said potions, I should be able to upgrade my spells and move on to more ferocious enemies like foxes and raccoons.

Although it would be cheaper to let my mana regenerate naturally, $19.99 isn’t horrible for some quick mana sustenance.

    A Nerd’s Ultimate Birthday Cake

Over at laughingsquid.com , one of the coolest birthday surprises was imagined. Well the person buying the cake had very little to do with it, besides financing the endeavor. The Millennium Falcon cake was created by a company called Charm City Cakes, which specializes in creating custom built artistically styled cakes. I will go ahead and throw out a nerd-gasm warning to anyone that views the pictures
