    In a wide-ranging interview with Next Generation, Harrison shares some insight to the Wii shortages. “It takes about five months for us to increase the actual monthly rate of production,” he says. “We’re at a rate now worldwide of about 1.8 million Wiis produced every month, and that’s going to sustain itself until we get on top of this.” He goes on to point out that Nintendo reviews the demand in each territory every few weeks to determine how the units are divided, calling it an “embarrassment of opportunity” to have such a supply/demand disparity.

    Sony has announced a massive price cut for the console’s software development kit. The Playstation 3 Reference Tool will now be made available to new developers for $10,250 USD, or €7,500 EUR. This is almost half of what the SDK has previously cost developers.

    The fully original soundtrack clocks in at 120 minutes long and is composed by Rom Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd, who between them have worked on classics like the Need for Speed and Hitman games. The soundtrack will go on sale on November 20th.
