An extremely flexible surgical robot, called the i-Snake, which should revolutionise keyhole surgery is being developed by experts. It helps surgeons to perform complex tasks that were possible only through more tough techniques. A team at Imperial College, London, has been provided a £2.1 million ($4.2 million) permit to work on the device, which will be an elongated tube with a series of motors, sensors and imaging tools.

Mozilla’s Chris Beard has released a very early version of Personas, a Firefox extension that provides another way of customization to Firefox. Personas are lightweight designs that “skin†the Firefox web browser. Delivered as a web service, the menu interface and the Persona designs are exceptionally dynamic, and should allow for a wide range of interesting possibilities.

Microsoft has launched a keyboard and mouse combo that is one of the most feature-rich and high tech keyboard-mouse combos. It’s fully wireless, rechargeable, has backlighting, remote control tools for lap use and many, much more. It’s goes for a high price. It is designed to function as a desktop keyboard, or a lapboard for easy surfing, and it’s consists of three components: The wireless keyboard, wireless laser mouse, and a USB hub with built-in Bluetooth.
