After a study in London showed that 1 in 10 people who text as they walk were knocking their heads into lamp posts, something had to be done. The charity organization, “Living Streets“, took notice and have developed street post pads to help these “text-walkers”. The idea has started in Brick Lane, London. But if all goes well Living Streets is ready to spread it across all of England.

The XPERIA X1, a hi-tech mobile phone being released by Sony Ericsson is still looking good for its’ second quarter launch date. Many rumors were flying around as to just when the actual release was going to be. A report released by Sony showed slew of their products and their release dates; the XPERIA X1’s being 02/10/2009 . Now , Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice President, Aldo Liguori has announced that the media phone is still on track for its’ initial Q2 2008 release. Time will tell if the report speaks the truth or if Liguori’s announcement is correct.
The phone’s features will include a touch screen interface, optical joystick, QWERTY keyboard. The phone will sport a 3″ inch WVGA TFT display.

Motorola, Inc. announced yesterday that MOTORAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition is available in the U.S. through MOTO STORE. The ultra-slim MOTORAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition features glittering 18K gold-plated accents that highlight the luminous black slate vacuum-metal finish. A soft-touch back, embossed with a snakeskin-like texture, feels good in the hand, while subtle details, such as elegant pin stripes on the front lens, an engraved diamond-cut pattern on the sideband and linear etching on the navigation wheel look stunning.

The E71, specs and pics have leaked. It will be ready with GPS, Wi-Fi, and plenty-fast HSDPA capabilities, as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera (not bad), weigh 120 grams and be only 57 x 112 x 10 mm; less wide than the E61i at 70 mm.
