If Tom Hanks says so, I’d say you should probably be doing it…

  • BMW GINA…..wow

I’m not afraid to admit that I’m not a huge automotive geek. I’d be happy driving around a 1975 Pinto, if it had good enough gas mileage. But when some really cool car technology comes my way, you know it’s something worth seeing. The BMW GINA (still scratching my head on how to pronounce that), is a concept car being released by BMW. The frame of the car is made of cloth, which covers the frame and leads to some really awesome ideas. The car is on display at the BMW museum in Germany. No announcements as of yet for a commercial release. Enjoy this YouTube video about the BMW GINA, and why it is freaking amazing.

  • For those who live in the compact cities around the world, smaller is alot of times better. Having to navigate through the congested cities can be a pain, and whatever can make it easier is better. The problem with getting a smaller car, is making sure it looks sleak, and is cool enough to keep the laughs to a minimum.

Ignacio Garcia has designed a concept that could bring the “cool” to smaller framed cars. The car kind of looks like a computer mouse, but a pretty stylish computer mouse. If they end up being cheap enough, I might just have to pick one up for myself.

  • Communication on the road hasn’t made very many leaps and bounds over the years. Sure we have the car horn, and the finger gesture that has always been a mainstay. But I believe that with the 21st century rolling along, it’s time for a different method of communication. ThinkGeek.com has answered my prayers as a new hi-tech communication device has been released.

The new communication device is called the, Driving LED Emoticon, and will help you express your emotions on the road.  The device is a wireless remote controlled, LED message sign, which can be used in any part of the car.  If some moron is riding your bumper, you can change your sign, from a smiley face, to a frowny face.

Here is an image of different emoticons you can use:

and here is what your sign looks like to other drivers

The device is $29.99 and can be purchased here.
