When you hear terms like ‘animal-human’ hybrid, the mind tends to think of sci-fi creature movies about an awful experiment gone wrong. A group of British scientists tried to tempt this fate, when last year they began on experiments for combining animal, and human genes.
The results of those experiments have finally come back, with some very disappointing results. The experiment wasn’t a success. There was no positive reaction of combining the human, and animal cells, nor was there any negative reaction, like a mutant animal hybrid who looks to bring carnage to planet Earth. Instead, the two cells never reacted and the experiments just died.

Is This The Future Of Humanity?
If you’re wondering if there’s a reason for this research, there is. Stem Cell research is in its infancy, with many materials being difficult to come by. Namely, human eggs. It’s much easier to obtain animal eggs to conduct embryonic research, than trying to find human ones.
Their research came under scrutiny from the British government, as they had questions about the morality of human-animal embryonic testing. They worried that experiments like this could lead to genetically altered babies.
After all the negative results of the research, it appears that we still have awhile before these experiments prove fruitful. Al Gore can keep his fingers crossed that ManBearPig will eventually exist in the real world.
