We in America like to think we have a lock down on the useless crap category of things (the singing bass, Croc shoes, gigantic checks). One visit to Thanko and you’ll see that Japan is right there with us, if not already has us beat. Thanko can be a tough site to navigate, considering it’s written in Japanese. Luckily there are pretty pictures to go by, which is generally enough to find the greatest gadgets.

Thanko’s newest addition is the Padlock USB drive. From a far away distance, the device looks like a mini electrical shaver but it’s actually a padlocked usb storage device.
