Looks like, Apple is also preparing for a surprise. MacRumors reported that it has received some more information regarding Mac sub-notebook. According to them, the Mac sub-notebook is expected to unveil at Macworld 2008 in San Francisco.

New Mac Laptop Features : External Optical Drive and Multi-Touch Trackpad

Apple’s recent efforts to make their laptops less bulky, a rumor has it that they will showcase their new external optical drive technology. The external optical drive will be with the sub-notebook and hence, you can attach it to your laptop when you need it and leave it when you’re on the move. Other rumors include revision of MacBook or MacBook Pro with Intel’s new CPU codenamed “Penryn” and the incorporation of multi-touch trackpad to these new machines.

I guess we’ll all see if these rumors are real by January 15th when the Macworld Expo kicks off. Don’t miss it. :)
