Google has launched a new application, that BlackBerry and Google Calendar users will love, called Sync. Follow the steps shown below.

  • Direct your BlackBerry browser to mobile.google.com.
  • Download the Sync application.
  • The Google Sync icon will now appear on the BlackBerry desktop.

Once you’ve signed in to your Google account, the application will download your personal calendar to your BlackBerry, and a list of summary of new, deleted, or updated events.

The application is best for any institution that uses Google Calendars as its backbone for scheduling, because you can view any event or create events from your BlackBerry and upload them on the go. It even carries over the alerts. Just remember to launch the Sync button. It’s easiest to click the options menu in the Calendar application itself, and then choose “Google Sync.”
