Just like a good set of links to blog,Comments also play a crucial part for your blog’s performance.Comments on a blog are a better sign of activity than how often a blog is updated. A blog can do multiple posts per day but if there are no comments in any of them, a reader will question if anyone reads it (unless comments has been turned off).

Before Getting to my tips let me ask you two simple questions ?

Did you see that just relax and think for yourself or just go to new blog and track down in your whatever you check when you enter a new blog.I am sure that 99% you will be doing the above stuff.Then what are you waiting for are you ready for some molten tips to get some reactive blog readers,who waits for you to post a new article.If your answer is ‘YES’ read the following tips.Let me start with the most effective and easiest way.

Start a comment community

Start a comment community yourself or join an existing one.Each one agrees to comment on other blogs.This would help you get a repeated visitors , rss subscribers and even links.This does not mean you should comment on blogs that only comment on your blog. Commenting on other people’s blog .Commenting on other blogs are easy ways to expand your comment community and indirect targetted traffic.

For Wordpress Users only : if you haven’t tried the Top Commentator plugin , then you should hurry up.Too bad! we blogspot users don’t anything like that!! I have seen blog with alexa ranking below 900,000 getting 4-7 comments for a single post.As you can see blogspot blogs like mine with atleast 500 - 1000 hits daily get 2-4 comments for some posts and some like abandoned.So,dear wordpress users you should leave this plugin behind.

Invite Them

Leaving a note below every post can be wise to get comments from visitors who are not familiar with blogging and commenting.Invite your friends from forums show off their opinions by hosting discussions about anything related to your blog post.

Strike Back

You ever happen to get a new comment never leave it lonely,reply to it the moment your prying eyes finds it.This can increase your relations with the person if you stress on it.This can get harder as your blog grows.

Make Submitting Comments Easier

For wordpress the comment form is right on the article page and Blogger has a pop-up window.which is really a waste of time .But the only thing we can do about this to set the “Who Can Comment” option to ‘anyone’.

Ask Questions

Asking questions to your blog readers from the very start of your post can force them to react to your questions.Allow others to ask questions to each other.

Be Pleasing and Humble

If you ever happened to get negative comments from visitors reply to these comments in a humble manner and correct them if you are wrong or get corrected if you are wrong.Well, this can be really troubling to get corrected by someone else.But, this can give him a confidence in you or maybe like your pleasing behaviour.

Be Frank

Speak out to your readers what you really want to say to them.Don’t hide any points that you don’t want them to know.Maybe the point that are hiding can give you immediate responses.

Reward Them

If you are really in need of comments then start a comment contest,promise exciting prizes for readers who contributed more and better comments.This is sure to work.But , you got to spend some dimes fro your purse.John Dot Chow has run similar contest and has received 200-350 comments per posts.

Pagerank Attracts Comments

Blogs with less traffic and above 3 PR have more active commentators than blogs with higher traffic.This will work only if the below tip is worked out.

UComment I Follow

Removing the “nofollow tag” can increase your comments tremendously.It will be like checking their feed readers a dozen times an hour for new posts from blogs with high PR.
